McKayla was born, raised, and educated right here in Northeast PA. She is a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and then went on to graduate with honors from The University of Scranton where she earned a Master of Business Administration with specializations in accounting and marketing. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Marywood University.

McKayla has a great love for animals and passion for community service like her parents. Her late father, Dr. Kathio, served as a diplomat and was the well-known owner of Pittston Animal Hospital and Wilkes-Barre Animal Hospital. Her mother was a teacher at Susquehanna Prep Apple Tree Preschool. McKayla belongs to St. Joseph Marello parish in Pittston and works the pizza fritta stand at the church picnic each year. She also serves mass at Oblates of Saint Joseph. McKayla is a lifelong Republican and has actively supported Republican candidates in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.

McKayla is not a politician. She is running for State Representative because we need new leadership in our community. McKayla is committed to bringing Northeast PA values back to Harrisburg and will advocate for commonsense solutions that improve safety, education, and economic opportunities for all families.
